Iran forms special unit for security of its Nuclear Projects and Scientists -

Tehran: Iran reaching closer to the nuclear deal, has formed a new unit for the security of nuclear projects and scientists. The unit will be assigned to protect sensitive locations and important officials from Israel and the other enemies. Therefore, it is clear that Iran has started feeling the need to increase the security of the nuclear projects and other sensitive locations, given the increasing threat of Israeli attacks.

In the last few years, there has been an increase in the attacks on Iranian nuclear projects and scientists. Four Iranian nuclear scientists were killed between 2010 and 2012. Some of these died in suspicious circumstances and some were shot in Tehran’s capital. Iran has held Israeli intelligence agency Mossad responsible for the killings.

In 2020, Iran was rocked following the killing of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Iran accused Israel carried out the assassination using artificial intelligence. Iran accused Fakhrizadeh was brutally killed by shooting 15 times in 60 seconds.

The attacks on the Iranian nuclear projects and the locations linked to the nuclear program also have reported an increase in the last three years. Iranian nuclear program had suffered significant losses in the attack on the Natanz nuclear project. Moreover, there have been suspicious explosions even in the drone manufacturing facility. Iran held Israel responsible even for these explosions. But Israel has not reacted to any of the Iranian allegations.

Against this background, Iranian media informed that ‘Nuclear Facilities Defence Command’ has been formed under the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. This special unit has been entrusted with protecting nuclear projects, related locations and the nuclear scientists from Israel and other enemies. This unit will be linked with the Iranian intelligence agency.
