Foreign terrorists are getting exposed in Jammu &Kashmir: Lt. Gen. DP PandeMost of the infiltrated foreign terrorists remain passive and prefer to operate from hideouts by mobilising and recruiting the local hires to carry out terrorist activities. They made the local terrorists the face of terrorism. In recent times, the militants and terrorists have been eliminated at a large scale in Jammu & Kashmir. Therefore, the youth of Jammu & Kashmir are refraining from joining the terrorist outfits resulting in a massive drop in the number of local recruits. Lieutenant General Pande said that this had forced the foreign terrorists to come out of their hideouts.

Although Lieutenant General Pande did not explicitly mention Pakistan, it was evident that the foreign terrorists mentioned by Lieutenant General Pande are from Pakistan. Over the last few months, many Pakistani terrorists have been killed in encounters with security forces. This year 61 terrorists have been killed so far. These included 15 Pakistani terrorists. Therefore, once again, Pakistan stands exposed for their terrorist activities. At the same time, Lieutenant General Pande expressed concern about the weapons left behind by the US forces in Afghanistan, which are reaching Jammu & Kashmir. Lieutenant General Pande’s statement was not directly pointing at this, but the undertone was to draw attention to this significant challenge.
