European Union announces 2 billion euros military aid to Ukraine – Slovakia sends MiG29   

2 billion eurosBrussels/Kyiv – The European Union (EU) has announced military aid to Ukraine of 2 billion euros, out of which 1 billion euros will be utilised for supply of artillery and the other billion will be given to European countries to provide weapons to Ukraine. The Ukrainian president has been demanding missiles and fighter jets, or the conflict would prolong.

2 billion eurosMoreover, the US and European countries have provided military equipment and arms in huge proportion to Ukraine. However, this is no longer sustainable as there is a shortage in the US and Europe. Military equipment factories have warned that they would need a longer time to meet the demands of Ukraine.  

2 billion eurosA meeting of the EU was held for this, in which the EU approved 2 billion euros in assistance to Ukraine. One billion will be used to supply artillery to Ukraine and the other billion will be given to European countries to provide military equipment to Ukraine.  

Meanwhile, Slovakia has sent its four MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine and is expected to send 13 more MiG-29.
