Coronavirus havoc: More than 6,000 deaths in 24 hours

Baltimore: Coronavirus has claimed 6,781 lives, around the world, in the last 24 hours and more than 94,000 new cases have been reported. Some countries have taken a bold decision, to relax conditions of lockdown, to reinitiate the economic transactions which have been brought to a grinding halt. This massive rise in the number of cases is being attributed to this decision.

Coronavirus has claimed 265,098 lives, so far, in the world. There are more than 3.8 million Coronavirus cases in the world and 1.3 million patients have recovered fully and have returned home. The United States has been the worst hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, claiming 74,809 lives. John Hopkins university informed that 2,073 deaths were reported in the United States, in the last 24 hours. There was an increase of 30,000 new cases in the day, in the United States. As of today, there are 1,260,000 Coronavirus cases in the United States.  

More deaths were reported from Europe, than the United States. As per the information revealed by the John Hopkins University and the European Union, more than 2,500 patients have died in the last 24 hours. Of these 449 were in the United Kingdom, 369 in Italy, 282 in Germany, 278 in France and 244 in Spain. The United Kingdom has reported the highest, 30,000 deaths, among European countries.  

15,000 new Coronavirus cases were added in Europe, in the last 24 hours. But as per the German scholars, more cases, than reported, are being found in the European countries. At the same time, criticism is rife that this increase in the number of cases is seen- except the United Kingdom, all the European countries have relaxed the rules of lockdown.  

Meanwhile, Russia reported 11,000 cases in the last 24 hours. There are 165,929 Coronavirus cases in Russia. Whereas, Brazil reported an addition of 10,503 new Coronavirus cases.
