Change of power being discussed in Ukraine

Kyiv/Washington: Recently, information surfaced that a large group in Ukraine was angry at President Volodymyr Zelensky because of the failure of the counter-offensive and his unilateral decision-making attitude. After this, the discussion about the change of power in Ukraine is gaining momentum. Besides, the media have claimed that Zelensky’s former associates and military groups are preparing to revolt. Against this background, information has emerged that US intelligence agency ‘CIA’ chief William Burns visited Ukraine last week.

In the last few months, cases of corruption in military recruitment and other areas have started to surface in Ukraine. Ukraine’s Defence Minister and several senior officials and advisors were dismissed and replaced with new ones. Due to the working style of President Zelensky, people have resigned angrily. All these incidents indicate that all is not well in Ukraine. Meanwhile, a few days ago, differences between President Zelensky and the Army chief came to light on the counter-offensive issue.

According to the US daily ‘The New York Times’, two groups have been formed. One with Ukraine’s President Zelensky, his close aide and Army chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi & the other with army officers. These groups have been continuously disputing for the last few months. An allegation is being made within the army that President Zelensky is making wrong decisions. The statement made by Army chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi on the issue of Russia was strongly criticized by the Office of the Head of State.

After this, former Ukrainian advisor Oleksiy Arestovych expressed his displeasure over Zelensky’s business. President Zelensky has made many strategic mistakes and there were demands that there should be a change in leadership in Ukraine. It is also being claimed that President Zelensky’s mental condition has deteriorated.

Moreover, people close to Zelensky have said in the information shared with Western media that Zelensky is behaving like a confused person on the issue of Russia. His close associates drew attention to the fact that Zelensky is taking this decision with the sole aim of not backing down from opposing Russia under any circumstances. Given all these incidents, the information about the CIA chief making a secret visit to Ukraine with the beginning of preparations for an uprising against Zelensky is attracting much attention.
