The West may get distracted from Ukraine due to war in Middle East – President Volodymyr Zelensky

Kyiv/Washington: A fierce war is occurring between Israel and Hamas after the terrorist organization Hamas attacked Israel last week. The intensity of this war is increasing every day, and the entire attention of the international community is focused on this war. Against this background, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his fear that Western countries will divert attention from Ukraine. Along with leaders and officials of European countries, analysts are also drawing attention towards this.

Moreover, the situation in the Middle East is expected to become serious again due to the Israel-Hamas war. Thus, European countries and the United States have turned their attention towards the Middle East. Most countries have supported the attacks launched by Israel against Hamas. The United States has also sent weapons to Israel and announced new defence cooperation. The top media of the Western world also seem to be paying attention to the news of the Israel-Hamas war.

Due to this, the activities of the Russia-Ukraine conflict now seem to be left behind. ‘Western countries seem to be diverting their attention from Ukraine. It is expected that countries like the United States will continue to support Ukraine in the future. If the aid received by Ukraine stops, time will be on Russia’s side, said Ukrainian President Zelensky as he expressed his fear.

Moreover, Zelensky claimed that Ukraine was not getting sufficient assistance from Western countries if the earlier counter-offensive was unsuccessful. Even now, Ukraine can’t show anything other than failure on the anti-Russian front, and because of this, Zelensky seems to be trying to hide behind it by raising the issue of the Israel-Hamas war.

Meanwhile, European leaders and analysts admit that the international community focuses on the Israel-Hamas war. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó claimed that the Israel-Hamas war would majorly blow the international political arena. For the first time in many days, the issue of Ukraine seems to be being left behind among global issues, the Foreign Minister of Hungary has said.

In such a situation, differences related to the Ukraine conflict have emerged in Western countries in the last few days. Poland is becoming famous with the news of stopping arms aid to Ukraine, rejection of a proposal related to financial assistance to Ukraine in the US parliament, and news of arms stockpiles in European countries ending. Along with this, information has started emerging from various surveys that the people of many countries of the Western world are fed up with the Ukraine conflict.
