Kabul/Islamabad: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani snubbed Pakistani Army chief saying that terrorists responsible for the attacks on Afghanistan are not only roaming free in Pakistan but new terrorists are also being recruited openly. He also warned that if Pakistan does not take timely measures to tackle this, the entire world will have to bear its consequences. Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz responded by saying that the two countries need to have trust and faith in each other.

Another blast in the eastern Afghanistan claimed five lives a couple of days back. On the backdrop of these terrorist attacks, chief of Pakistani Military, General Javed Bajwa made a phone call to the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to offer his condolence.

Ghani blamed Pakistani terrorists for these blasts during his conversation with Bajwa. He criticized Pakistan by adding that the terrorists who have openly accepted the responsibility for the attacks have set up their camps in Pakistan, but Pakistan still refuses to take any action against them. Ghani also warned Pakistani military chief that Afghan people as well as the Government do not want to see a repetition of the terrorist attacks which took place in Afghanistan in 2016, hence even if Pakistan fails to take any action against the terrorists, Afghanistan has a strong will to avenge these terrorist attacks to ensure security across the country.

Ghani also said that Afghanistan expects a serious discussion with Pakistan to address the issue of terrorism, which has been a threat to the country’s security. In response to this, chief of Pakistani Military assured that there would be no terrorist attacks on Afghanistan from Pakistan, reported the Afghan government.

Reports of this discussion have been published by the Afghan President’s office. However, Pakistani Military has some different information on this. It has claimed that Pakistan has played a key role in the war against terrorism and that Bajwa has assured Ghani that all the terrorist camps in Pakistan have been destroyed.
