On Saturday afternoon, 18-year-old Payton entered the Tops Supermarket in Buffalo in a military uniform and opened fire. He was wearing armour and a helmet. During the shooting, it was revealed that Payton had “live-streamed” the entire incident with the help of a camera. The incident was reported on the social media site ‘Twitch’. A security guard was killed in the shooting along with nine customers who entered the supermarket. Three people were injured. The attack appears to have been motivated by racism. Payton wrote a 180-page manifesto. It criticized blacks as well as Islamists. In his manifesto, Payton mentioned that Brenton Tarant, the mastermind of the terrorist attacks in New Zealand a few years ago, was his role model.

Speaking to friends at his school last year, he mentioned “mass shooting”. Subsequent investigations revealed that he was mentally unwell. He was also given psychiatric counselling.

In the last few months, there has been a sharp rise in crime in many large and important cities in the United States. A few days ago, a man stabbed and injured several people in the New York metro train station area. It has also been exposed that there are not enough policemen available for the security of New York. Although the locals castigated Democrat party and the administration for this, the administration ignored it.
