US starts to build a 'Border Wall' in Texas due to illegal immigrants

Washington – United States is facing infiltration of Illegal immigrant challenge, which is getting tougher with every passing day. According to the Customs and Border Patrol, about 175,000 illegal immigrants attempted to cross the US-Mexico border in November. Compared to October, the infiltration has increased by 10,000 immigrants or 140% over the previous year. To curb this growing influx, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has started building a border wall on the Texas-Mexico border.

In October, the US government released figures of the number of immigrants arrested during illegal immigration. From October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, more than 1.7 million immigrants were detained for illegal entry. It was later revealed that the administration of US President Joe Biden had allowed 150,000 immigrants free into the United States. Against this background, the new figures reflect the refugee problem was getting worse.

According to the Customs and Border Patrol, more than 173,000 refugees tried to cross the border from Mexico in November. In October, the same number was 164,000. Last November, 72,000 illegal immigrants were registered. Compared to November last year, the number of illegal immigrants has increased by a whopping 140% this year. This is believed to be due to the Biden administration’s appeasement and lenient policies.

After Biden took over the reins of the United States, a series of decisions were taken to release the illegal immigrants. Biden also accused Trump of ‘discrediting’ the United States. The Biden administration had also introduced a new bill in Parliament to grant citizenship to more than ten million illegal immigrants living in the United States. These policies have also created a state of emergency in Texas and Florida on the US-Mexico border. As the situation worsens, so is the increase in the resentment of the American people.

Biden blocked the ‘Mexico Border Wall’ project undertaken by former President Donald Trump. But Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who suffered the biggest brunt of the intrusion, has restarted the project. Construction of the Border Wall on the Texas-Mexico border has begun, with a budget of over USD 1 billion. It has been indicated that a border wall of more than 100 miles in length will be built with these funds.
