Ukraine conducts 8 drone strikes in Russian capital Moscow and 3 other provinces

Reports have surfaced that Ukraine began deploying counterattacks in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson provinces while these attacks were made.

Russia has been continuously launching attacks from Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine to Odesa in the south for the past few weeks. At the same time, Russian forces are said to have captured 90% of Bakhmut City in Donbas. In addition, Russia has begun taking steps to gain control of towns like Chasiv Yar, Sloviansk, Avdiivka, and Marinka after Bakhmut. There were claims that Ukraine had delayed its counterattack plans due to increasingly aggressive attacks from Russia.

On Monday, a drone was found to have been shot down in a forest in Noginsk, 30 km from the capital Moscow. The drone had M112-type explosives weighing around 17 kg. Officials informed that the weight of this suicide drone from Ukraine was about 100 kg, and it had a US-made engine. The drone’s range was estimated to be around 800 to 1000 km, and it was believed that it may have crashed in the forest as it ran out of fuel. Previously, Ukraine had even attempted to launch a drone attack in Moscow’s capital.

Russian officials informed that Ukraine deployed nearly 10,000 soldiers in the Huliaipole area of Zaporizhzhia and has assembled tanks, rocket systems, guns, armoured vehicles and missiles. The officials claimed that it could be a preparation towards the operation for clearing the path leading to the Azov Sea. The Ukrainian Army was also said to have succeeded in entering a small area west of the Dnipro River in Kherson province.
