India witnessing trailers of future conflicts: Indian Army Chief General Naravane  

New Delhi: – Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane informed about the challenges faced by the country. He said, ‘India is witnessing the trailers showing glimpses of wars in the times to come. The campaign wars daily are also a part of the same thing. This is visible also in the network and cyber sectors. One can see this even on the unstable borders that are witnessing movements. One can guess what is going on after observing all this.’

Moreover, the Army Chief underlined the Chinese threat in precise words, ‘Different types of challenges are faced by the country in the current times. Especially given the country’s northern border situation, the need for war preparedness is clear.’ At the same time, he also pointed to the threat posed by Pakistan. The Army Chief pointed out that border disputes with nuclear-armed neighbours and the sponsorship of terrorism by these countries put tremendous strain on the resources and agencies required for the country’s security.  

The Army Chief targeted China by saying that some countries are challenging the international systems that have been normalised to achieve their ambitions. The adversaries of India are consistently plotting to fulfil their strategic interests. General Naravane added that they are carrying out covert activities on all three fronts, political, military, and economic for it. Along with this, General Naravane also cited the situation in Afghanistan. General Naravane pointed out that the Non-State Actors, meaning the gangs not affiliated to any country, were used effectively in this country.
