There will be chaos like Iran and Sri Lanka in Pakistan

Islamabad: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan alleged that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Internal Security Minister Rana Sanaullah and ISI Major General Faisal had conspired to kill him. Along with this, Imran Khan has directly warned Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa. ‘There will surely be a revolt someday in Pakistan. Imran Khan has warned that the revolution can either be peaceful or through bloodshed. Imran Khan threatened that if his demands were not met, there would be chaos in Pakistan like in Iran and Sri Lanka and the people would take to the streets.

On Thursday, Imran Khan was attacked by a youth named Naveed. Imran Khan survived the attack, but his supporters have since threatened to wreak havoc in Pakistan. Imran Khan addressed Pakistani people from the hospital on Friday evening, informing them that four bullets were fired at him. Also, Imran Khan claimed that he had an idea that the attack was already planned and that he had informed the public about it. Imran Khan made a serious allegation that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Internal Security Minister Rana Sanaullah and ISI’s Major General Faisal were behind the conspiracy. Imran Khan also attacked the Pakistan army.

‘Nawaz Sharif and his family were driven out of the country as thieves and now the people of Pakistan will not accept that they are being cleared and the power of Pakistan is being handed over to them. The army was accustomed to a leader who acted on their instructions. But because I refused to follow instructions when I was the Prime Minister of Pakistan, a conflict developed between me and the Army,’ said Imran Khan, blaming the Pakistan Army. Also, Imran Khan once again accused a foreign hand of being behind the conspiracy. Imran Khan has also blamed Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is plotting against him. Imran Khan had earlier claimed that all other leaders are corrupt and that he is the saviour of Pakistan. Addressing the Pakistani people after the attack, Imran Khan once again tried to gain the people’s sympathy by making similar claims.

Imran Khan has made tremendous preparations to take political advantage of the attack on him. Not only this, Imran Khan appealed to Army Chief General Bajwa and demanded that chaos similar to what happened in Iran and Sri Lanka should not be allowed. Imran Khan warned that there are only two options before the people of Pakistan, a peaceful revolution or a revolution through bloodshed. Imran Khan has threatened the Pakistan Army to agree to their demands and announce general elections in Pakistan or to be prepared for bloodshed. In the recently concluded by-polls, his party had won eight of the nine seats, showing that Pakistani people support him, claimed Imran Khan.

‘Imran Khan announced that he will again take to the streets for the future of Pakistan. This time, people will enter the capital Islamabad in large numbers. It would be difficult to control them, because Pakistani people are now awakened and the people will not withdraw,’ Imran Khan has threatened the Pakistan Army.

Historically, no leader in Pakistan who has challenged the military’s power has survived in the country. But this time, Imran Khan has posed a very different challenge to Pakistan’s army and the political system. Imran Khan’s claim that everyone except him is corrupt and a thief has convinced the majority of the people of Pakistan. However, Imran Khan could not exert any influence while running the government, which threatened the credibility of the Pakistan army that brought him to power. When he was the Prime Minister, Pakistan’s growth further declined. Because of this, the Pakistan Army had to pull Imran Khan down from power and form a coalition government. Claiming that this is an injustice to him, Imran Khan is demanding the Pakistan Army bring him to power. Pakistan analysts claim that this contradiction proves that Imran Khan is a leader of ordinary calibre.
