Moscow: Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has claimed that Russia’s campaign in Ukraine is a sacred battle against Satan and that Russia can push all its enemies into hellfire. In a message released on the occasion of Russia’s ‘Day of National Unity’, Medvedev also said that our fatherland must stop the supreme ruler of hell. This time he described Ukraine as ‘Crazy Nazi Drug Addicts’.

Russian leaders have repeatedly said they invaded Ukraine to stop the pro-Nazi regime in Ukraine and to stop NATO expansion. They have further pointed to the support given to Ukraine by Western countries and the statements made by Ukrainian and Western leaders against Russia. Against this backdrop, it is noteworthy that Medvedev referred to the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a holy war.

In a message released on the Telegram app, Medvedev criticized Ukraine and the West. ‘Russia’s campaign in Ukraine is a sacred battle against Satan. It is the duty of the fatherland to stop the ruler of hell known as Satan, Lucifer or Iblis. An intricate lie is one of Satan’s weapons. Whereas, our weapon is truth. Therefore, our purpose is justified and the victory will be ours’, Medvedev expressed his belief.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the National Security Council of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, blamed the Westerners’ ambition to dominate the world as the only reason behind the current crisis. Patrushev also said that western countries are neglecting other countries’ national interests and traditions and building a multi-pillar world.
