Internal tensions rise in Biden administration; President Biden & VP Harris

Washington – The Biden administration, which has failed on all issues, from illegal immigration to inflation, faces a new crisis. There are reports of a rift between President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and their respective supporters and close associates are said to be upset with each other. As the first female Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris has not made any impact. On the contrary, the White House claimed that Biden was getting into trouble because of her statements and roles. In contrast, the close associates of Harris argued that the Vice President has not been given proper responsibilities and that the President is ignoring Harris. Although these reports have been denied by the White House and Harris’s office, the tension between the US President and the Vice President is now open.

Besides, CNN, a news channel supporting the Democrats and the liberal groups, published reports of the Biden-Harris tensions. This has caused a stir among Democrats and liberal groups and leftist supporters in the United States. Hours after the news was reported, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki and the Vice President’s office denied the reports. Psaki tweeted that Vice President Harris is Biden’s key partner and a courageous leader. While Harris’ spokesperson Symone Sanders tried to cover up the news by saying it was ‘gossip’.

But the report published by CNN had a detailed account of the displeasure emanating from the White House and the close associates of Harris. CNN said the role of employees and relatives working with Vice President Harris is becoming fatal for Harris. Her former colleagues have expressed displeasure that Harris takes decisions after consulting with close relatives rather than expert officials on several issues. It is claimed that Harris has been functioning in the same manner since the very beginning.

These reasons have led to growing discontent among the American public, including Democrats, against Harris. A survey published a few days ago revealed that Harris’s popularity has dropped more than Biden‘s. Only 28 per cent supported Harris’s performance as Vice President. Democrats and supporters are worried that this could be fatal for next year’s midterm elections. The CNN report claimed that Biden might even take the extreme step to remove Kamala Harris from the position of Vice President. Some sources have suggested that Vice President Harris is unlikely to run in the 2024 elections. The supporters of the Vice President also accused that Biden is stressing on projecting Harris as a failure.
