Vice President Harris is calling world leaders instead of President Biden, claims media, raising questions over Biden’s capability

Washington: – US Vice President Kamala Harris held a telephonic discussion with French President Emmanuel Macron. This is the second instance of Harris speaking to a foreign head of state. Talks have started in the US political circles and social media circles regarding President Biden’s capabilities, as Harris has started having a dialogue with the foreign leaders. Two years ago, former Secretary for defence Robert Gates, had raised a doubt, whether an old man like Biden was capable of discharging the US President’s duties.

At the beginning of February, US Vice President Kamala Harris held a telephonic discussion with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Thereafter, in just 15 days, Harris called the French President. During both the interactions, they discussed the issues of Coronavirus pandemic, weather and economy. Before this, in January, the US Vice President called the chief of World Health Organisation. The calls made by the US Vice President to the foreign heads of state and the leaders of international organisations, instead of President Biden, are drawing the attention of the US media.

Joe Biden is the oldest political leader to become the US President. Discussions were rife whether he had the physical and mental energy to discharge the duties of the President. There had been posts in the social media that Harris will take Biden’s position after her name was announced for Vice President. The continuous presence of Harris in the White House, for a few days, after Biden took the oath as US President, on 20th of January, also drew attention.

Against this background, the issue of President Biden’s ability has come on the anvil once again, in view of the telephonic calls made by Harris. While speaking during an interview with a news channel, Biden said that living in the White House is like being in a golden cage.
