Mehsud said the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan would not make any difference to Tehrik’s activities in Pakistan.

Mehsud also clarified his position on the ambitious China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) developed by China in Pakistan. ‘There is no enmity between Tehrik and China. Chinese analysts have accused Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) of gaining strength because of the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan. The Pakistani government should make efforts to eliminate this threat from Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Meanwhile, Pakistani media claim that there has been a massive increase in Tehrik attacks in Pakistan, ever since the Taliban established its rule in Afghanistan a month ago. According to media reports, more than 50 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in these attacks. China is criticizing the Pakistani regime for its failure to control the activities of Tehrik.
