(CPEC)

The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic corridor comprising a collection of projects currently under construction at a cost of $54 billion, that are regarded as a part of the People’s Republic of China’s ambitious One Belt, One Road initiative. CPEC’s potential impact on Pakistan has been likened to that of the Marshall Plan undertaken by the United States in post-war Europe. Projects under the aegis of CPEC are intended to strengthen the Pakistani economy by the rapid overhaul and construction of major infrastructure projects, establishment of special economic zones, and an improved supply of electricity. wikipedia
