pak-pm-chinaThere have been examples of China interfering in the country’s politics to dominate that country after increasing its influence. China had effected a change of guard to bring leaders who were Chinese agents in power in countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives etc. China seems to have prepared to experiment that even in Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan had accused the previous government of malpractices and corruption in the CPEC. Therefore, Imran Khan tried to renegotiate the CPEC deal. But China had flatly refused to oblige.

After this difference of opinion, the project has been stalled. Pakistan expects more loan and investment from China. Whereas China also has specific expectations regarding the project, and China is worried whether Pakistan will be able to return the loans given to date. Due to this suspicion and disbelief, the project has been affected, and Pakistan media has started expressing doubts that the project will not be completed.

In this scenario, China has joined hands with the Pakistani opposition parties. Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan, Nong Rong, held discussions with PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif. After that, Ambassador Rong said that Nawaz Sharif is an old friend of China, and China does not forget its old friends. Rong also delivered a message that excellent cooperation will be established between the Chinese communist party and PML-N party of Nawaz Sharif.

This is a warning issued by China to Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Pakistani journalists are claiming that China can join hands with the opposition parties, and even the Pakistan military, to overthrow the Imran Khan government.
