Russia-UAE cooperation hits record high despite US pressure – Claims Russian Deputy Prime Minister

Abu Dhabi: The United States had pressured the UAE not to establish any cooperation with Russia, which has been in conflict with Ukraine and challenging the West. However, despite this pressure, there has been the largest-ever increase in trade cooperation of UAE with Russia during the year. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who visited UAE, claimed this.

Accordingly, Russia has exhibited its advanced weapons. Besides, there were claims that the exhibition contained weapons used in the Ukraine conflict. Russian media claims that there has been a large crowd of representatives of Arab countries in the Russian hallway.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict will be completing one year in the next few days. Against this backdrop, the exhibition of the Russian weapons gallery in the arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi leads to attention. Thus, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has arrived in the UAE. Moreover, deputy PM Manturov highlighted the importance of cooperation established between Russia and the UAE while the conflict was ongoing with Ukraine. He further said that Russia-UAE trade turnover had reached 9 billion dollars in the past year despite the sanctions imposed by Western countries. Deputy PM Manturov announced that UAE ranks first among Arab countries establishing cooperation with Russia.

Meanwhile, the US and European allies tried to isolate Russia by imposing severe sanctions. There have been claims that other Arab countries, including the UAE, have thwarted Western efforts by increasing cooperation with Russia.
