Arvind Krishna, the head of IBM, in an interview given to the Bloomberg News website, explained that the company would gradually stop the recruitment process and start with the 'Artificial Intelligence'plan to stop the process for the jobs in the ‘back office’. Currently, IBM has a total of 2,88,000 employees and the company’s network is spread over more than 175 countries. This includes about 25 thousand employees for ‘back office functions’.

Due to the use of artificial technology and ‘automation’, almost 30 per cent of the employees in the 'Artificial Intelligence'back office will be reduced. Arvind Krishna, CEO of IBM, said this process will be completed in the next five years. At present, the company will not lay off employees but will not recruit new employees to replace employees who leave or are reduced for other reasons, the spokesperson of IBM confirmed the use of AI.

In the past few years, there have been serious warnings from various levels about using artificial intelligence. A few days ago, Joffrey Hinton, the researcher who developed ‘Generative AI’, warned that those with destructive tendencies could use it. It was also revealed that there was an important discussion on the issue of transparency and rules regarding the use of AI in the G7 group of leading countries of the world. At the end of March, Goldman Sachs, a leading company, had expressed fears that artificial intelligence would lead to massive unemployment. Goldman Sachs has predicted in its report that AI technology will affect almost two-thirds of jobs in the US and Europe.
