London: Russian President Putin’s statements about the Ukraine conflict and the threat of nuclear war should be taken seriously, warned UK Undersecretary of State Gillian Keegan. The threats issued by President Putin about nuclear attacks and additional military deployments have caused worldwide havoc. Besides, the West, alongside Ukraine, have strongly reacted to it.
Moreover, the US ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, criticized the referendum and the announcement of additional deployments as a sign of Russia’s weakness. German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said Russia’s decision is yet another bad and wrong step. The European Union responded that Putin does not want to establish peace but is interested in inciting war furthermore. 
Ukraine has blamed the Russian President for taking this step, as the ongoing campaign is not progressing as planned.
However, Prime Minister of Netherlands, Mark Rutte, claimed that the Russian President has ‘panicked’ and then added that there is no need to pay much attention to the statement about nuclear weapons. European countries like Poland, Latvia, Romania, and Moldova have also expressed displeasure about Putin’s announcements.
