Putin’s threats must be taken seriously – UK Undersecretary of State

London: Russian President Putin’s statements about the Ukraine conflict and the threat of nuclear war should be taken seriously, warned UK Undersecretary of State Gillian Keegan. The threats issued by President Putin about nuclear attacks and additional military deployments have caused worldwide havoc. Besides, the West, alongside Ukraine, have strongly reacted to it.

German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said Russia’s decision is yet another bad and wrong step. The European Union responded that Putin does not want to establish peace but is interested in inciting war furthermore. However, Prime Minister of Netherlands, Mark Rutte, claimed that the Russian President has ‘panicked’ and then added that there is no need to pay much attention to the statement about nuclear weapons. European countries like Poland, Latvia, Romania, and Moldova have also expressed displeasure about Putin’s announcements.
