The Israeli army entered Syria to foil the assassination plot -

Tel Aviv/London: The Israeli army, which has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria until now, entered Syria and took action. The Israeli military has informed that the Israeli soldiers had entered Syria to catch the attackers who threw bombs near the border of Israel. One of the attackers was arrested and brought to Israel in this operation, while the other attackers escaped, the Israeli army said.

According to information released by the Israeli army, there were suspicious activities near the Golan Heights border a few days ago. After surveillance by Israeli soldiers through surveillance equipment, it was observed that four people walking along the Syrian border threw ‘anti-personnel mines’ into Israel’s Golan area. Along with that, a group of Israeli soldiers entered the border of Syria and chased the attackers. One of the assailants got seriously injured in the firing by Israeli soldiers. The injured attacker has been admitted to Israel’s Baruch Padeh Medical Center for further treatment.

In 2018, the Israeli military opened fire on Syrian soldiers guarding the Golan Heights. Israel had seized the Golan Heights from Syria during the 1967 Six-Day War with Arab countries. Moreover, there are consistent claims by Syria that it has right over it and not Israel. It has also received strong support from Iran and the Iran-affiliated Hezbollah organisation.
