Since India and Italy have had bilateral relations for 75 years, there is now emphasis on developing strategic cooperation and partnership. Prime Minister Modi said that both countries stand united on issues of terrorism and praised Italy for active participation in the Indo- Pacific region.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Meloni expressed her belief that India and Italy can cooperate in areas of renewable energy, green hydrogen, IT, semiconductor, telecom, and space. She also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi is the most popular leader in the world. She also cited that every country could be a beacon in its own way.

Known to be a strong advocate of nationalism and an aggressive leader, Prime Minister Meloni in her speech at Raisina Dialogue, mentioned staying rooted to the unique traditions and identity of the country, even if some countries want to forget it. Many liberal leaders and organisations in Europe oppose Prime Minister Meloni for this reason. However, Prime Minister Meloni has also responded to her critics by prioritising national interests.

While speaking in the Raisina Dialogue, she asserted that the national resources should be used for the prosperity of that country first. This remark was for some European countries with liberal policies on the influx of refugees, which will eventually consume national resources. Hence Prime Minister Meloni clearly believes that the right over national resources is only for its citizens.
