Attacks similar to Gurez, are being carried out by the Pakistan military even at other locations. It is being revealed that this firing is an attempt to provide cover for terrorist infiltration. The Indian army has foiled the infiltration attempts and the Border Security Force and Jammu-Kashmir Police are on high alert. The security agencies are making all possible effort so that the developments on the border do not disturb the life in the urban areas. Indian Army soldier Anish T. has been martyred in the firing at Rajouri.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan military officials are suggesting that Pakistan should attack India, taking advantage of the fact that India is embroiled in the conflict with China on the Ladakh border. But the same journalists and analysts from Pakistan, are advising Pakistan to stay away from the India-China conflict otherwise it could prove dangerous for Pakistan.
