Pakistan, Pakistani soldiers, Afghan border, Taliban,As per the information shared by the Pakistan military, there was a firing at the border post at Angoor Tangi in the Khurram region of Pakistan. It is located near the Khost province of Afghanistan. The Pakistan military accused the terrorists from the Tehreek-e-Taliban launched this attack using Afghan land. At this time, the terrorists tried to uproot the barbed wire fence on the border. The Pakistan military informed that five Pakistani soldiers were killed and six were injured in the encounter, which lasted for nearly three hours. The Pakistan military also claimed that Tehreek terrorists were killed in retaliation by the Pakistan army.

The number of terror attacks in Pakistan has increased since the Taliban took over Afghanistan in August last year. Pakistan says that the terrorists from Tehreek-e-Taliban who have taken shelter in Afghanistan are responsible for the attacks. At the same time, the Taliban had uprooted the barbed wire fencing erected by the Pakistan military on the Durand Line. Against this background, Pakistan’s NSA visited Afghanistan in the last week.

The Pakistani foreign ministry claimed that discussions with the Taliban were successful. Pakistani foreign ministry also announced that the Taliban had assured that the Afghan territory would not be used against Pakistan. But during the meeting between the Pakistani NSA and Taliban, it had also surfaced that a dispute between the two countries exists over the Durand Line. In this scenario, grave concerns are being expressed over the firing from within the Afghan territory on the Pakistani border post.

The Pakistan media are pointing out that the Pakistan military, for the first time, had to accuse the Taliban of the attack directly. The Pakistan media noted that the Pakistan military targeted the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, accusing a terrorist attack on Pakistani land from within the Afghan border. After that, Pakistan army chief General Qamar Bajwa has issued orders to retaliate strongly against any attacks from the Afghan border. Therefore, the possibility of a conflict being sparked between the Pakistan military and Taliban has become stronger. Pakistani analysts have openly confessed that a conflict is inevitable between Pakistan and the Taliban. At the same time, Pakistani journalists opposed to the Taliban are showering strong criticism that the horrible consequences of the pro-Taliban policies adopted by the Pakistan government and military are now surfacing.

Baloch rebels have come together and launched crushing attacks on the Pakistan military. Pakistan’s Internal Security Minister accused the terrorists from the Tehreek-e-Taliban are supporting the rebels. Internal Security Minister Sheikh Rashid also accused that the links of these attacks are in Afghanistan and India. But these accusations are being scoffed at even in Pakistan. The Pakistan government believed that terrorism in Pakistan would end with the Taliban coming into power in Afghanistan. But the media are pointing out that Pakistan has become more insecure with the Taliban taking over Afghanistan’s reins.
