Baloch rebels claim to have killed over 100 Pak soldiers

Quetta – The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), demanding independence for Balochistan, delivered a severe jolt to Pakistan. BLA launched crushing attacks on the Pakistan military in the Panjgur and Noshki towns of Balochistan and BLA claimed that more than 100 Pakistani soldiers had been killed in the attacks. The Pakistan military informed that 13 attackers and seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in the encounter. The Internal Security Minister of Pakistan accused that the links of the attack were in India and Afghanistan.

The activists raising their voices against Pakistan’s trampling of human rights gave this information. These activists said on Indian news channels that the BLA rebels had detained Pakistani soldiers. But the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) suppressed the news regarding the incident. The Pakistan military did not allow the information to be exposed to the media for a long time.

Besides, even after revealing the information, ISPR did not allow all the details to appear in the media. The news regarding the incident was released to the Pakistani media in a phased manner so that the public would not realise the intensity of the attack. ISPR claimed that 13 attackers were Balochistan, Pakistan, Pakistan Army, Baloch Liberation Army, BLA, Pakistani soldiers, Pakistan military, Baloch rebels,killed in the attack and suffered more losses. At the same time, ISPR informed that only 7 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the attack. Internal Security Minister of Pakistan, Sheikh Rashid, blurted out claims that the Pakistan military exhibited exemplary courage and killed all the attackers. Pakistan Prime Minister also congratulated the Pakistan military for successfully repelling the attack.

Furthermore, Sheikh Rashid made an absurd accusation that this attack was being controlled from India and Afghanistan. But the information revealed by the BLA is different. In a written statement released after the attack, BLA claimed that more than 100 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the attack. BLA also informed that they disrupted the Pakistani telecommunication network.
