North Korea threatens strong and decisive military steps against Japan -

Seoul: North Korea has criticised Japan’s defence spending for increasing its military readiness. Moreover, North Korea warned to take strong and decisive measures against Japan, which endangered regional and international security. Also, North Korea threatened that Japan would soon realise this. China had already accused Japan of violating post-World War II treaties by increasing defence spending.

Four days ago, Japan announced its defence policy. According to this, Japan will spend 320 billion dollars on defence in the next five years. After the US and China, Japan became the third country to spend such a large amount on its defence. In this, Japan had given priority to increasing the striking capacity of missiles. Japan had said this preparedness was necessary to respond to threats from China, Russia and North Korea.

Japan has progressively increased its defence spending over the past few years. Underlining the threat posed by China and North Korea, Japan prioritised increasing its defence readiness. China had criticised Japan’s defence spending even earlier. Also, China recalled the restrictions imposed on Japan after World War II. Additionally, China blamed the United States for disturbing the balance in the region by arming Japan.

North Korea’s foreign ministry criticised Japan’s defence spending, as did China. Besides, North Korea threatened that Japan, which has been threatening North Korea, would face serious consequences. Through this, Japan has shown its extreme ambition, and North Korea warned that it would take decisive military steps against this.
