Seoul: North Korea has tested a solid-fuel rocket motor that accelerates the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). It is claimed that this will improve the speed of missiles that can hit the US Far East. North Korea announced that the test was carried out under the leadership of dictator Kim Jong-un.
A few weeks ago, North Korea tested a ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. This included the long-range ‘Hwasong-17’ intercontinental ballistic missile. North Korea threatened the United States and South Korea with this test. North Korea started working on the rocket motor used for these ballistic missiles. The test took place at North Korea’s Sohei launch base on Thursday.
The test could increase the range of intercontinental ballistic missiles in North Korea’s fleet. Military analysts are pointing out that this can make a difference in the timing of attacks on enemy positions. North Korea seems to have threatened the United States and South Korea through this test.
