Moscow – It doesn’t matter how many weapons NATO supplies to Ukraine; it will not win this battle. On the contrary, NATO supply arms will only prolong the conflict and cause more destruction, warned Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Even earlier, Russia had warned the United States and NATO that providing arms to Ukraine would have dire consequences.
Moreover, President of Ukraine Zelensky is claiming that the United States and NATO supplied Ukraine with a huge amount of weapons and these weapons will be a game changer. Besides, President Zelensky demanded that the US and NATO provide Ukraine with air defence systems, fighter jets, and other weapons. Former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has appealed to the Biden administration to fulfil this demand of Ukraine.
Furthermore, the United States may decide to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This will give more strength to Ukraine, which is currently competing with Russia, claimed the former US defense minister. Not only that, but Leon Panetta has suggested that Ukraine should launch an offensive to retake the territory of Crimea from Russia. Panetta backed up his claim by saying that Russian President Putin is complicit in the conflict with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu tried to make NATO aware of the reality by saying that it is not possible for Ukraine to win this war due to the weapons of NATO countries. Rather, these weapons will prolong Ukraine’s war and add to the destruction it causes. Therefore, Defense Minister Shoigu warned that NATO is playing with fire by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
Although the US and NATO member states provide Ukraine with huge amounts of weapons and ammunition, it is claimed that the country’s military does not have the skills and ability to use it properly. Due to this, the Ukrainian army is using the weapons and ammunition received indiscriminately and supplying them with more weapons. The tension on the US and NATO member states was published some time ago. Against that backdrop, the Russian defence minister’s warning to NATO has gained importance. But the United States and NATO have nothing to do with what happens to Ukraine in this war. The US and NATO ignited the war in Ukraine to only defeat Russia and loosen the grip of Russian President Putin on Russia. The United States and NATO have realized that none of these goals can be achieved. There are also reports that US officials have started admitting this.
