Russia fighting in Ukraine against NATO, US and UK

Moscow: ‘The events in Ukraine are not a clash between Moscow and Kyiv – this is a military confrontation between Russia and NATO, and above all the United States and Britain,’ said the head of the National Security Council of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev. Patrushev also alleged that Western countries are constantly planning to dismember Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov also confirmed it. It was announced that the ‘Strategic Partnership’ resolution between NATO and the European Union was approved while Russian officials were making accusations.

Moreover, the United States and Western countries provide Ukraine with weapons, confidential information, and technology. Former military officers, soldiers and civilians from several European countries, including the United States, are fighting in Ukraine. For this, the Ukrainian Army has established a separate ‘Foreign Legion’. Under this, it is said that nearly five thousand foreign nationals are fighting in Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian defence forces use many Western weapons and technology in the ongoing fighting. Countries like the United States, the United Kingdom and France also provide confidential information to Ukraine. It is said that small military teams of countries like the United States and the United Kingdom also work in Ukraine. These teams of foreign soldiers have been targeted by Russia continuously and it is said that more than two thousand foreign soldiers have been killed and injured so far.

Against this backdrop, the head of the National Security Council has drawn attention by stating that Russia is fighting against NATO and the West in Ukraine. In the past, Russia has consistently warned the West against its involvement in Ukraine. Russia also said that the Ukraine conflict indirectly involves NATO and the United States. However, Patrushev has openly stated that Russia is fighting with NATO, the United States and the United Kingdom and has indicated that this battle will intensify in the future.

Furthermore, Patrushev accused the Western alliance of wanting to push Russia’s borders back to where they were in the 15th century. He also alleged that the West is shedding Ukraine’s blood to weaken Russia.
