Speaking before the Israeli parliament’s Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee, Defence Chief Kochavi informed about the preparedness of the Israeli was ready. ‘The Israeli military has intensified its planning and preparedness against Iran and its military nuclear threat. This was possible due to the provisions made by the Israeli parliament for Iranian related expenditure in the last week,’ Kochavi said. He also added that Israel faces several security challenges on several fronts.

In addition to preventing Iran from building an atomic bomb, Kochavi noted two other major threats to Israeli security. The Israeli border is threatened by rockets, missiles, cruise missiles, and drones for the first time. Kochavi also said that Israel‘s security was being threatened by Hezbollah and other terrorist groups from Lebanon. They are preparing to infiltrate by digging deep underground tunnels near the Israeli border.

Last year, Kochavi mentioned that the Israeli defence forces had been involved in missions and covert operations in the Middle East against the enemy. This year, Israel is also engaged in operations against its enemies, the defence chief said, referring to the fight against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Kochavi indicated that the Israeli army would continue to carry out covert operations against the enemy.

‘Israel is working to prevent war. However, if war breaks out, Israel will be ready to take action that has never been seen in the past. Meaning, this time, Israel will launch such a shocking attack that Israel has never launched in the past on the roots of terrorism.’ said Defence Minister Gantz. Israel has previously accused Iran of sponsoring terrorism. Although the Israeli Defence Minister did not explicitly mention it, Defense Minister Gantz appears to have signalled that he would launch a major attack on Iran, supporting anti-Israel groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas.
