Pakistan, IS-Khorasan, militants,IS-Khorasan commander Nazifullah, while talking to a news agency, threatened to attack Pakistan, which is destabilizing Afghanistan. In the current situation, IS does not have the capacity to fight a big war. But if IS gets a chance, Pakistan will be attacked, Nazifullah warned.

Nazifullah blamed that the situation in Afghanistan is going from bad to worse since the Taliban took control of Kabul. The IS militants accused the Taliban of destroying Afghanistan. Nazifullah also claimed that hundreds of people had joined IS due to the non-transparent rule of the Taliban.

‘Where exactly is Mullah Omar, the head of the Taliban? Show the video that he is alive, I demanded while I was in the Taliban. But the Taliban did not provide any evidence. Hundreds of people joined IS because they were fed up with the Taliban’, Nazifullah said.

Mullah Omar died in 2013 in Quetta, Pakistan. But the Taliban kept the news of his death a secret for two years. It was claimed at the time that the militants had lost faith in the Taliban leadership.

Nazifullah pointed to the anger among IS-Khorasan militants against the Taliban and Pakistan, citing the Mullah Omar incident as an example. Nazifullah is on the wanted list of the US, former President Ghani’s government in Afghanistan and the current Taliban‘s.

Meanwhile, IS in Afghanistan is claimed to be getting stronger. IS and terrorist organizations such as the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been reported to have the backing of extremists in Pakistan. Whereas, the US military officials have warned that if timely action is not taken against IS and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, they could launch more attacks on the United States deadlier than 9/11. Former US National Security Adviser John Bolton warned that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons were not safe either.
