Since the last few days, the tensions between Russia and the western countries have increased. Western countries are targeting Russia over the issues of action against pro-democracy groups, fuel supply to European countries, support to the President of Belarus, increasing closeness with China, and espionage and cyberattacks. There has been increasing military activity near the Ukrainian borders, and NATO has indicated an increase in its activities.

It has been revealed that NATO and Ukraine held joint military exercises a few days ago. After that, warships of the United States and other NATO member countries have entered the Black Sea. The United States has also indicated to increase the missile deployment in European countries. These developments are making Russia restless; the warning issued by President Putin is a reaction to them.

President Putin warned that Russia knows very well that some of our foreign counterparts will not stop trying to break this parity, which includes deploying elements of global missile defence in proximity to our borders.’ He also mentioned the US warships USS Porter and USS Mount Whitney that have entered the Black Sea.

Putin warned that Russia is keeping a close watch on these actions through telescopic vision and missile systems. It has been reported that the Russian navy has started exercises to counter the movements of the US warships.
