Iran threatens to launch attacks on Iraq on failing to stop Kurds

Baghdad: Ismail Ghani, the chief of the Iranian QUDS forces, threatened that Iran would launch dreadful attacks on Iraq if the Iraqi military failed to stop the Kurdish infiltration into Iran. Ghani, who is on a visit to Iran, issued this threat in the presence of Iraqi leaders. At the same time, Ghani accused the Kurds, responsible for Iraq’s instability, of infiltrating Iran through the Iraqi border.

Iran is threatening to attack the autonomous Kurdish Province ‘Kurdistan’ for this purpose. Kurdish leaders are demanding that there should be an independent country, ‘Kurdistan’, for the Kurds scattered in Turkey for many decades. The United States and European countries support the Kurdish demand. Military analysts are pointing out that if Iran launches attacks on Kurdistan, a strong reaction could be received from the United States and its allies in such a scenario.
