Not Israel but Iran is Saudi's enemy - Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen

Jerusalem- It is claimed that the prospect of Israel-Saudi cooperation has dimmed as Saudi Arabia established cooperation with Iran. But Saudi Arabia aligned with Iran only to establish cooperation with Israel. Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen claimed that the Saudis are saying they are maintaining a balance in cooperation. Cohen also warned that Iran, not Israel, is the enemy of Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the Foreign Minister of Israel announced that he would visit Saudi Arabia soon.

Moreover, it was reported that Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen would participate in the United Nations Tourism Organization meeting held in Saudi Arabia last month. But claims were made that Saudi Arabia had denied Cohen a tour in the wake of the West Bank developments. If the foreign minister of Israel approved the visit, it would have been an indication that Saudi Arabia has directly approved Israel. The media said that the Saudis had rejected Kohn’s visit to avoid that.

In the following days, moves were made to establish cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iran. For the first time after seven years, the two countries foreign ministers came together and discussions were held between the leaders of Saudi and Iran on opening an embassy. International media claimed that this cooperation between Saudi and Iran is the biggest shock for Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the signing of the Abraham Accords with Saudi Arabia after taking office in January.

The American media reported that the Prime Minister of Israel had asked America for this. Israel and Saudi Arabia did not comment on all these developments. The news that the cooperation between Israel and Saudi had stopped was strengthened because of the Saudi-Iranian cooperation. But Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen stopped all these discussions while visiting Azerbaijan. Foreign Minister Cohen said that he would visit Saudi Arabia soon. Also, Saudi has conveyed that it is achieving balance by cooperating with Iran. Cohen claimed it would help Saudi Arabia establish cooperation with Israel in the future.
