Iran has enough enriched Uranium to make five nuclear bombs - Alleges Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant

Athens – Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Iran was an extension of terrorist organisations since it supplies weapons. It was the policy of every US government that Iran would not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, no matter what. Besides, Israel and Arab allies had always supported this US policy. But in a Senate hearing last month, US Defense Chief General Mark Milley announced that they would not allow Iran to deploy nuclear weapons. This sparked talk that the Biden administration would not stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Simultaneously, Pentagon officials claimed Iran was only weeks away from developing a nuclear bomb.

Earlier, the United States had claimed that Iran’s nuclear programme was a year and some months away from producing a nuclear bomb. But the Biden administration’s indirect admission that Iran was nearing a breaking point drew heavy criticism.

Around this time, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) delivered shocking information that Iran had enriched at least 84% of Uranium. The Biden administration had avoided responding to the Atomic Energy Agencies’ claim, adopting a soft stance toward a negotiated settlement of Iran’s nuclear programme. But the government of Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel has said that the issue of Iran’s nuclear programme cannot be solved without military action.

On a visit to Greece, Israel’s Defense Minister Gallant also reminded that Iran’s nuclear programme was approaching the production of a nuclear bomb. But if Iran exceeds the 90% Uranium enrichment limit, it will be a serious mistake and could ignite the region, warned Gallant. In addition, the Israeli Defense Minister also raised the issue of Iran’s weapons smuggling in Syria.

Every week, an Iranian plane loaded with weapons has been entering Syria for six months, supplying weapons to the terrorist. Gallant warned that Israel was watching these movements and that Israel would not allow Iran to camp in Syria under any circumstances.
