New Delhi: – The total number of Coronavirus cases in the country reached 673,000, due to an addition of nearly 23,000 new cases in the last 24 hours. But by night the number of Coronavirus cases reached 695,000. India has reached the third place in the list of countries with maximum number of Coronavirus cases. The number of deaths due to Coronavirus also has crossed 19,000.
There was a big increase in the number of Coronavirus cases on Saturday. Nearly 23,000 new cases were reported in 24 hours. Whereas, more than 21,000 cases were reported till Sunday night, taking the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country to 695,000. The total number of cases in India has surpassed Russia. Now it is only Brazil and the United States, where there are a greater number of Coronavirus cases than India. But the rate of recovery in India is better than these countries and the death rate also is lower. In the last 24 hours 14,856 patients have recovered.
There were 152 deaths in Maharashtra in the day and 6,555 new cases were detected. Delhi reported 2,505 new cases. Tamil Nadu reported 60 deaths and 4,150 new cases. Karnataka also reported more than 1,500 new cases. Uttar Pradesh reported 1,200 new cases and Gujarat reported 725 new cases.
Meanwhile, the Kerala government has announced the regulations to be followed for the month of July. Mask has been made compulsory and spitting has been prohibited. The Kerala government has clarified that the offenders may face fines up to ₹10,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 2 years.
