Global War may spark over Wheat, claims a Russian newspaper

Moscow: The western countries are holding Russia responsible for the wheat crisis faced by the world. But Russia is not the only one responsible for the crisis and Russia has not started this war of its wish. Whereas Western countries are also equally responsible, these countries are also hoarding wheat. Therefore, a Russian newspaper warned that if the tangle of this Russia-Ukraine conflict is not resolved at the earliest global wars could be sparked over wheat.

Western countries have imposed sanctions against Russia, given the conflict. They withdrew their investments in Russia and stopped trade cooperation. This had a direct effect on the wheat exported from Russia. The Russian newspaper claimed that when wheat prices started soaring in the international market, India and Kazakhstan also stopped wheat exports. There was an increase in the US wheat prices following the Indian decision to ban wheat exports. Whereas the wheat price in Europe reached a record high of $461 per tonne, the newspaper claimed.

The newspaper also made a big claim that Western countries could relax sanctions against Russia in exchange for wheat and other food grains in the coming times.
