First phase of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway inaugurated -

Dausa: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot, which is part of the Expressway between Delhi and Mumbai. This 246 km highway will greatly reduce the distance between Delhi and Rajasthan and even save the time required for this journey. It is said that the cost of this highway, the first phase of the Expressway project between New Delhi and Mumbai, is about 18 thousand crore rupees.

There was an announcement of the ambitious project to develop a highway connecting the country’s capital New Delhi with the financial capital Mumbai in 2018. Besides, there was an announcement of an investment of about 98 thousand crore rupees. On completing the first phase of this 1386 km highway from Delhi to Dausa in Rajasthan, Prime Minister inaugurated the phase on Sunday.

The masses benefit greatly when the government invests heavily in highways, ports, railways, optical fibre, and medical colleges. Small traders, small entrepreneurs and the industrial sector benefit from this investment. The Prime Minister expressed his belief that investment in infrastructure leads to new investments and boosts the economy. The Prime Minister further said that the first phase of the Expressway would reduce the travel time from Jaipur to Delhi by half.

Jaipur residents going to Delhi for work would be able to complete their work and return home by evening due to this highway. Also, the locals connected to this highway will develop on a large scale because a market for small vendors will be set up on the side of this highway. The Prime Minister has said that this will benefit artisans and small businessmen.

Meanwhile, this expressway connecting New Delhi and Mumbai will be the longest highway in the country. It is believed that this highway, from Delhi to Mumbai-Maharashtra, through Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, will boost economic development.
