Despite the apparent peace, war continues on many fronts - Defence Minister Rajnath SinghThere has been an increase in Chinese activities along the Line of Actual Control with India. China has doubled the strength of its air force in this region. Reports of China starting large-scale constructions in the region to incite India are published. Even the United States has taken cognisance of these developments and US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin expressed concern about the aggressive Chinese activities. Against this background, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh presented India’s stance in clear words. India will not try to acquire even an inch of land from any other country. India is a peace-loving country but will give a befitting reply if challenged on national security and integrity.

While issuing these warnings, the defence minister made the citizens aware of the current security situation precisely. The exclusive situation of being in a state of war or peace no longer exists. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made an important statement that although there may not be a declared war and what looks to be apparent peace, war is being fought on many fronts. These kinds of stealth and hybrid wars are equally destructive as conventional wars. Hence, such openly declared war has been avoided for the last few decades. The method of warfare has changed to more covert war rather than confrontations.

The defence minister also pointed out that using technology and trade as weapons is also a cause for concern. At the same time, the defence minister expressed satisfaction with the increasing military might of the country. Rajnath Singh added that India is not manufacturing weapons only for itself but also supplying necessary weapons to its allies.
