High infection rate of Coronavirus in China is a matter of great concern, warns WHO

Geneva/Beijing: Tedros Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), has expressed concern and warned about China’s rapidly spreading coronavirus infection. The WHO head has demanded China provide more information about the patients admitted to the hospital and their condition in the ICU. On Wednesday, the National Health Commission informed that more than three thousand patients were admitted to the hospital in China. However, it has been claimed in various posts on social media that the actual number of patients is many times more.

Three years ago, in November 2019, the Corona epidemic started in Wuhan, China. The Chinese regime had claimed that the outbreak was brought under control within a year. However, these claims turned out to be false as new outbreaks of Corona have started in China since 2021. A very strict Zero Covid Policy was implemented to overcome this, and millions of citizens were confined to homes. Despite this, the outbreaks did not stop in China. On the other hand, the Communist regime was forced to relax the Zero Covid Policy early this month as people took to the streets against the Corona restrictions.

However, insufficient care by the communist regime and incorrect decisions of the local authorities has caused a new outbreak of Corona in China. In the last few days, the number of patients has been increasing exponentially in many parts of the country, including in Shanghai and the capital Beijing. Hospitals in cities, as well as temporary hospitals, are overcrowded. Corona patients are forced to share beds in many hospitals. Photographs of infected patients and dead bodies in some hospitals have also been published.

Burial grounds in some cities, including Beijing, have run out of space, and bodies have been piling up. The Chinese authorities are once again trying to hide the details. Various posts published on social media prove that claims made by China are false. Against this background, a warning issued by the WHO chief becomes significant. While expressing concern about China, WHO officials have appealed to increase the speed of vaccination for senior citizens as this age group seems to be most affected by the Corona epidemic.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that foreign vaccines are being imported for the first time in China for foreign officials. The vaccine prepared by German company BioNTech has been sent to China. Eleven thousand five hundred doses of the vaccine are said to have been sent. China has previously categorically refused to use foreign vaccines. Against this background, the entry of German vaccines into China is attracting attention.
