Coronavirus originated from Wuhan Lab in China – sensational claim in US Congress' new report

Washington – A new report has been released by the US Parliament, which claims that the outbreak of Coronavirus started from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. A report prepared by the US Senate has said that there have been many incidents of laxity in the safety of Wuhan’s laboratory. The spread of the Coronavirus is also a part of such irresponsibility. The report also alleged that China’s non-cooperation had hindered the US agencies’ ongoing investigation of the Corona epidemic.

Moreover, this is the third time in the last three months that the US has blamed China for the Corona epidemic. Earlier in February, the US Department of Energy had recorded the conclusion in its report that the creation and spread of the Coronavirus occurred in the Wuhan laboratory. Then in March, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in its report that the Corona epidemic originated in an accident in the Wuhan laboratory in China. Now even in the report of the US Parliament, the Wuhan laboratory has been pointed. Therefore, the issue of the origin of Corona seems to be coming to the fore once again.

A report on Corona was prepared by the team appointed under the chairmanship of Republican Senator Richard Burr. The report is titled ‘Muddy Waters: The Origin of Covid-19’. The more than 300-page report focuses on laboratory experiments in Wuhan, China, and biosafety issues. The report claimed that research on the Coronavirus was being started in China and Wuhan’s laboratory was its centre. The report has also pointed out that there is no definite and concrete evidence to show the natural origin of the Coronavirus.

Former US President Donald Trump had openly referred to Corona as ‘Wuhan virus’ and ‘China virus’. Trump consistently pointed out that the said virus and epidemic spread from China. But at that time, the Democrats, media, researchers and social media dismissed Trump’s claims.

At the end of 2019, the Corona epidemic that originated in Wuhan, China caused havoc worldwide. More than 70 lakh people have died in this epidemic and Corona patients are still being found in some countries. A few days ago, China also released a report in this regard. In this report, China denied the allegations against it. But even after this report of China, the World Health Organization (WHO) demanded more cooperation and explanation is needed from China.
