Pakistan sheltering terrorists involved in attacks on US soldiers Nikki Haley

Washington: Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has accused that Pakistan is sheltering the terrorists trying to kill US soldiers. Haley pointed out that despite receiving aid to the tune of USD 1 billion from the United States, Pakistan has always been acting against the United States in the United Nations and the other platforms. Based on the accusations by Nikki Haley, it seems that Pakistan is once again being cornered on the issue of terrorism.

A book written by the former US Ambassador to the United Nations was released recently. Nikki Haley has taken a very aggressive stand against Pakistan in this book. While mentioning the aid received by Pakistan from the United States, Haley has referred to the anti-US stance and activities undertaken by Pakistan. Haley has said in the book that Pakistan was sheltering the terrorists conspiring against and trying to kill the US soldiers.

Haley pointed out that Pakistan has generally opposed the US stand in the United Nations. She says that she had pointed this out to President Trump from time to time. Haley has said that this annoyed President Trump and he demanded that the US Congress should pass a bill against Pakistan. Even before this, matters of Pakistan taking decisions against the US interests had been observed. The US military officials had repeatedly warned that many times, Pakistan was coming in the way of the US interests in Afghanistan.

Currently, the Taliban has initiated a spate of attacks in Afghanistan and the Taliban has also started attacking the US soldiers. Moreover, the Taliban has delivered a clear message that it does not pay any heed to the United States by participating in the China sponsored discussions over the situation in Afghanistan. At the same time, it has been revealed that Pakistan, with the help of Russia, China and Iran is supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan. This has started delivering jolts to the US peace process and has made the current Afghan government unstable. The United States has taken serious cognisance of this matter, and the severe allegations levelled by Haley in her new book once again exposes Pakistan’s treachery.
