British aircraft carrier to hold exercises with Indian Navy

London: – British aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, will be reaching the Indian marine region, along with its fleet, to hold war exercises with the Indian Navy. The United States has made this announcement. Against the background of the consistent naval exercised being held between Indian and French navies, this exercise of the British Navy with the Indian Navy becomes significant. This indicates that the interests of the European countries are increasing in the Indo-Pacific region. This further increases the Indian importance.

britain-warships-indian-navyThe United Kingdom announced that the British aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, weighing nearly three billion pounds and its fleet, will be visiting India to participate in war exercises. Even the F-35B stealth fighter jets also will participate in the activities. Along with the aircraft carrier, a submarine equipped with the Tomahawk missiles and a destroyer will be a part of the British fleet. Therefore, the exercises with the British Navy with the Indian Navy become important.  

British Defence Minister Ben Wallace expressed confidence that these war exercises between Indian and British navies will establish and increase the cooperation between the navies of both countries. Defence Minister Wallace claimed that India and the United Kingdom are natural partners in research, development and training. Wallace added that the United Kingdom would cooperate with India to overcome the possible threats in the Indo-Pacific and the insecurities being created in the international systems due to them.
