Against this background, it is being claimed that if Tesla Motors entered India, it would help bring down the prices of the electric vehicles.

Tesla Motors recently slashed, substantially, the prices of their China-made Model-3 sedan. The company sold 11,000 vehicles in August. Whereas, now the company is trying to manufacture new models. The company shares have appreciated by 495% and the market capitalisation has reached $400 billion.
