Tel Aviv – A cargo ship sailing to United Arab Emirates (UAE) through the Red Sea was attacked in the Indian Ocean. Lebanese news channel claimed that this ship belonged to an Israeli company. Lebanese news channel affiliated with Hezbollah and Iran first reported the incident. This ship which set sail from the Saudi Arabian port of Jeddah, in the Red Sea, for the Jebel Ali port in the UAE, came under attack. The Lebanese news channel said, quoting sources, that something hit the Israeli ship.

The fire was brought under control and the ship continued its journey towards UAE. At the same time, it has been revealed that the attack caused no damage. But it was found on Sunday that the ship CSV Tindle, bearing a Liberian flag, was not Israeli. The ship belonged to Zodiac Maritime, the company belonging to the UK settled Israeli professional Eyal Ofer. But the Israeli professional clarified that he had sold this ship to another company only a few months ago.

The Israeli media said that Iran was behind the attack, quoting local sources. Iran launched the attacks being under the impression that the ship still belonged to the Israeli professional. Last month, drone attacks had been carried out on the centrifuges at the Iranian Karaj nuclear project. It is claimed that the project suffered major losses in the attacks. Satellite photographs of the attacks had also been published. It is claimed that this attack was to avenge the attack on the Karaj project.

Meanwhile, a US newspaper had expressed a concern that the hidden war between Israel and Iran is intensifying. The number of attacks on Israeli and Iranian freight and military ships sailing in the Indian Ocean, Gulf of Oman, Red Sea and Syrian marine sectors has increased. This is an undeclared war between Israel and Iran and the tension in the maritime region has increased because of this.
