New Delhi: The 10th round of talks between senior Indian and Chinese military officials has begun to ease LAC’s tension in Ladakh. Both countries have completed the withdrawal process from the northern and southern parts of the Pangong Lake area. But troops from both countries are still stationed at the Hot Springs, Gogra and Depsang on the LAC in east Ladakh. Military officials from both countries are discussing the withdrawal. Meanwhile, the situation on the LAC in Ladakh has improved, but there are reports that the Indian Air Force has deployed Apache helicopters along the border with China in Sikkim.
Talks between Indian and Chinese military officials began on Saturday in Moldo on Ladakh’s LAC. Not all the details of this discussion have been revealed yet. But Hot Springs, Gogra and Depsang also claim to be at the forefront of the issue. Strategic analysts say that the tension on the LAC in Ladakh will be eased only after the withdrawal of troops from both countries. Simultaneously, the possibility of China betraying India by infiltrating the LAC is not ruled out by strategic analysts.
China has also released a video of the conflict in Galwan while withdrawing troops from Ladakh. China released the video by acknowledging that five of its officers and soldiers had been killed in the fighting. After this, China’s social media has started criticizing India. The Chinese social media has been abuzz with hate speech against India. So, in the current scenario, even though the Chinese military is preparing to withdraw from Ladakh’s LAC, it is clear that China’s policy towards India has not changed.
The People’s Daily has accused the Indian media of insulting the Chinese military by giving false information about the Galwan Valley conflict. Claims that 45 or more Chinese soldiers were killed in the Galwan conflict were reported in the Indian media. The daily accused the Indian media of defaming the Chinese military by giving false information to the international community. The news that we have lost more troops than India in the Galwan conflict has made China uneasy. Currently, Chinese President Xi Jinping has adopted an aggressive strategy to increase his country’s military strength. The conflict in Galwan has burst the bubble of claims made by China about its military might. So, this may be the reason for such a reaction from China.
Meanwhile, the Indian Defence Forces are fully aware that China may infiltrate other parts of the LAC to compensate for the withdrawal from Ladakh. That is why the Indian Air Force has reportedly deployed Apache helicopters at the LAC in Sikkim.
The Apache is an advanced helicopter purchased from the United States, and its deployment on the LAC proves to be a warning to China. At the same time, the Indian Army’s K9 Vajra guns have also been deployed on the LAC. It is claimed that these guns, made by Larsen & Toubro, might be converted into tanks.
