Nine terrorists killed in 24 hours in Kashmir

Jammu-Kashmir: – The security forces killed nine terrorists in the Kashmir valley in the last 24 hours. Five terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in the Keran sector. One of the soldiers also was martyred in the encounter. Before this, four Hizbul terrorists were gunned down in Kulgam on Saturday.

The security forces found terrorists trying to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LOC) in the Keran Sector on Sunday. An encounter ensued between the terrorists and the security forces where five terrorists were killed. Colonel Rajesh Kalia, the spokesman of the defence ministry, informed that one soldier was martyred, and two soldiers were seriously injured in the encounter. On Saturday, four Hizbul terrorists from Hizbul Mujahidin were killed in an encounter in the Kulgam district. Before that, the security forces arrested four terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba with five of their accomplices. In the last 24 hours, nine terrorists were killed, and nine people, including four terrorists, were arrested.

The security forces have launched a massive campaign for the complete eradication of terrorism from the Kashmir valley. Some of the terrorists are trapped in the southern parts of Kashmir. They have been paralysed as the security forces have busted their supporting agent network in Kashmir. But these Pakistan-sponsored terror groups are consistently planning major attacks. At the same time, Pakistan is resorting to consistent firing and shelling on the border posts of the Indian military to facilitate terrorist infiltration into India. But the Indian security forces have foiled all these Pakistani conspiracies. A fitting reply is being given to the Pakistani firing on the LOC.

Four terrorists from Hizbul Mujahidin and Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Anantnag on 15th of March. At the same time, two terrorists were killed in the encounter in the Shopian district on 9th of March.
