Will not tolerate Pakistani attacks on Afghanistan, Taliban threatens PakistanLast week, the Pakistani air force intruded into the Afghan airspace and launched attacks in the Kunar and Khost provinces. Forty-seven people were killed in the Pakistani aggression in the Spera region of the Khost province. Taliban criticised the Pakistani attacks and accused Pakistan of killing Afghan civilians. Taliban reminded that these Pakistani attacks intruding into the Afghan territory violate Afghan and international regulations.

Tensions had been created on the Afghan-Pakistan border following this. Senior Taliban commanders had warned Pakistan of dire consequences. Two days ago, Tehrik-i-Taliban launched an attack on the Pakistan military in the North Waziristan province. Pakistan military said that three of its soldiers were killed in the attack. But media has claimed that the Pakistan military suffered many more casualties in the Tehrik attack.

After that, Pakistan instructed the Taliban to withdraw terrorists from the border. Pakistan media claims that the Taliban has accepted the Pakistani demand. As per the Pakistani media, the Taliban moved Tehrik and other terrorist organisations to other regions.

But Mullah Yaqoob, the interim Defence Minister of the Taliban regime, deflated the claims made by the Pakistan media with this threat. Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob warned, ‘Afghanistan still faces stiff challenges posed by the world and neighbouring countries. The Pakistani intrusion into the Kunar and Khost province is one example. We tolerated the attacks so far in the interest of Afghanistan. But henceforth, the Pakistani attacks will not be tolerated under any circumstances.’

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid threatened, ‘Pakistan should not test the patience of the Afghan population. Otherwise, it must be prepared for serious consequences.’ Videos of the Taliban deploying military vehicles and artillery guns near the Pakistan border have already been released. At the same time, the Taliban had declared that their helicopters and drones were in a state of readiness to attack the enemy. In this scenario, the significance of the Taliban threat increases further.
