Since the last few days, the military movements in the areas around capital Beijing, have increased, and military weapons and vehicles are being transported in the night. The British media reported that curfew has been imposed in certain areas. The locals have also posted pictures of military and weapons movement on the Chinese social media. Some claimed that the military carried out a 24-hour-long exercise, only two days ago.

The advanced weapons developed by the Chinese military were displayed during these exercises. They also included supersonic drones DR-8 and Wuzen-8. The Chinese mouthpiece had reported testing of these drones, for the first time, in 2015. But information regarding these drones was kept under wraps after that. It is claimed that the Chinese DR-8 drone is a copy of the SR-71 drone, developed by the US company Lockheed Martin. Allegations have been made that the DR-8 was developed by experimenting with the DR-71 drone, which had crashed in China during the second world war.

Other than the drone, the locals posted photographs of the DF-41, the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile and JL-2, the missile, launchable from a submarine, being transported on Beijing roads. Out of these, the DF-41 missile can travel at a speed of 3.35 Mach (4,100 Kilometres per hour). An analyst from Shanghai claimed that this missile has the range, to hit the Guam islands in the Pacific Ocean. China had claimed that DF-41 could carry between 10 to 12 nuclear warheads.

At the same time, the lightweight Type 15 tanks, KH-6 bombers also will be on display, during the National Day parade. China has used the HK-6 bombers for surveillance in the South China Sea. China had despatched these bombers when a US destroyer was patrolling in the region. This had created Tension in the South China Sea region.

Meanwhile, The Chinese military had clarified about a month ago ‘China is committed to world peace and stability. Therefore, this parade on the Chinese National Day is not against any country or region.’ US and British media are claiming that this parade is a warning for the United States and its allies carrying out surveillance in the South China Sea region, under the pretext of freedom of freight movement.
